After performing and collaborating with various bands across the United States, B.C. now travels down the solo path, writing, recording, and performing his own compositions. A bass guitar player by trade, B.C. is always exploring new and interesting ways of expressing himself on this instrument, at times tastefully incorporating as many as four different bass parts simultaneously playing in one song. While his music possesses a heavy edge, B.C. always retains a keen focus on vocal melodies and harmonies. B.C. records all of his compositions in his relaxing home studio in Illinois.
Band/artist history
Now armed with a talented and experienced group of musicians, B.C. continues to dazzle his fans with energetic live performances of songs from his debut album, "Map of the Muddled Mind", as well as newly written original material. All members of B.C. are accomplished musicians and songwriters with extensive live and studio experience, particularly in Chicago and Los Angeles. They have performed as the supporting acts for such groups as Incubus, 311, Kings X, Phantom Planet, Greta, and Lisa Loeb, and have played in many acclaimed bands, including Monkeybread, Fran Banish, Souls For Rent, Blown, Selective Recall, The Euphoric, and Time Traveler.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I used to be a one man band, but a B.C. "live" project has now been assembled. I'd like to welcome and thank fellow members Jay Mishur, Geoff Siebold, and Brian Gabel. We are currently playing live shows in the Chicago area, soon to be branching out and coming to a town near you!
Your musical influences
I am greatly inspired by hard rock with strong melodies and harmonies. My biggest songwriting influences are Porcupine Tree, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Pink Floyd, The Cure, Incubus, Primus, Big Wreck, Rush, King's X, King Crimson, Live, and Soundgarden.
Anything else?
The debut album from B.C., "Map of the Muddled Mind", is now available on CD at
