Jordan - Thank you kindly for your critique. I listened to the number you are referring to and must agree. When we recorded that number, we captured the choir with three drop mics and the position was about as good as we could get it. We've since added additional mics out front to better smooth out the contributions of entire group. Stay tuned as we're working the mixes now. Maybe some day, we can rerun the tape (yes, cassette tape) through an equalizer to smooth out some of the voices. If it's the syncopation that bugs you, I'm not sure if that is within my abilities.
To be honest, I have never heard the number you are referring to before nor what it *should* sound like. Our choir is much too nice of a group to let me know when I get it wrong!
