Chris Plays Guitar is a five-member bar-rock band with a twist of Americana, a splash of humor, a razor sharp wit and a sonic exploration of the phenomenon of drinking and partying all night until you fall down. They play songs about bisexual girlfriends, stupid people, MTV?s demise, sex, drinking, the defunct state of the American Dream, bad music, dirty sex, sticks up politicians? asses, drinking, sex, crazy girlfriends, truckstops, and more drinking. Their live shows are a mix of creative guitar work and unforgivingly humorous lyrics while they rub dirt, sweat, tears, and tequila into their own wounds. We play anywhere from 8-12 live shows a month. Generally we play in the central California area, but occassionally play in LA and on the coast.
