Heard Run DMC's "Raisin' Hell" in 1992.
Became hooked on Ice T, Beastie Boys, Cypress Hill, Naughty By Nature... descended to gangsta rap for some angst, then elevated to proper hip hop e.g. Public Enemy, De La Soul, Rakim, Tribe Called Quest, The Goats, Jurassic 5, Skitz, London Posse, lots of good British stuff.
Began to get a little bored of hip hop in the earlier years of the 21st century. Started going to lots of drum n bass nights and listening to the music by Roni Size, Goldie, Andy C, Bad Company, EZ Rollers, Squarepusher and, lately, Pendulum but I still harbour deep love for most hip hop from the nineties.
Now I use Logic 5.5, Cool Edit, Goldwave, Sound Forge and Fruity Loops to cut up a lot of live bass, guitar and violin, breaks and 70s and classical music samples in the creation of fresh, beautiful, rolling, electronic plus natural hip hop and drum n bass. Enjoy :)
