The new demo is now online, so be sure to download it and go to www.gravedisaster.tk and tell us what you think. We will be posting more songs when they are completed. STAY DEAD !!
What do you do when the band you're in plays only a handful of shows during a 2 year period, plays for the same people every show, and is repeatedly told to give it up ? You quit, buy an upright bass, change your name, become obsessed with the dead and not have a care in the world other than those that have stood by you from day one. And in the summer of 2004, that's exactly what these Ohio-based (yes, OHIO) psychos did. They abandoned the bright, sunny punk band imagery and in return replaced it with a horror filled arsenal of songs and members.
Drawing influences from such acts as the Misfits, Tiger Army, Nekromantix, Elvis, and Reverend Horton Heat, Grave Disaster is sure to appeal to many people who relate to the music scene. While most of the songs aren't taken seriously, these psychos play from their heart and give everything they have each and every show. They gurantee that anyone who attends a show will come away with some memory, whether it be "Grave Disaster makes me wanna go rock a graveyard," or "Why in the hell do they have an upright bass?" Grave Disaster is sure to leave a mark in your brain, you know, somewhere between the over-populated emo bands and the pop/rock bands.
Still relying on their early D.I.Y. attitude, Grave Disaster not only records in their home studio appropriately entitled Camp Massacre, but they also record and produce countless other local bands. So do yourself a favor and check out a band that actually dares to be different than the rest.
