Protecting quality melodies for the masses. The music will tell you more than any words...Band/artist history
Forget your tired, lo-fi garage dirge. And your squealing solos and stodgy power chords. Pop is back with a vengeance and those bringing it to you are the brightest stars on England’s dulling musical horizon. Their mission: to awaken your love of melody and smash your cool rock star aesthetics. St Elmo’s Fire play the most dazzling, refreshing pop tunes you could ever wish for. Bubblegum guitar lines, heartachingly beautiful piano ballads and colourful, bouncy pop-rockers. Formed in early 2004 by old collaborators Danny Kelly and Caz Wilson (front man and bassist respectively), SEF were strengthened by the addition of sexy guitar icon, Kevin Firman, and the cowbell-thrashing cutie, Patrick Wordsworth. In the short time since their conception, SEF have wowed in competitions, made waves with the revered “Teenage Culture E.P.”, and won over the hearts of the great Teesside public. “Black Hole Eyes” ranks as one of the prettiest ditties you’ll ever find stuck in your head. “Stay Put” is paradoxically raucous and tuneful, while “Second Knife” is the haunting, heartfelt paean of heartbreak. This is music to fall in love with. This is pop.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes. In the North East of England. We love it. Winning a battle of the bands was our epiphany, really.
