Band/artist history
Youd hear versions of the dozens, or stories of war, talks of womenlots of talk of women. What started out as a few friends in a basement battling, battling extremely hard. Has led to the creation of an income producing record label, and recording studio. Lawrence Kyser, affectionately known as L, CEO, and President of Aggressive Soundworks, the home of Gorilla Pimp Records, would have never thought that a few piece of plywood and some screws would build an Empire. L is not your average Bob Villa but with a vision he became Noah. Himself with a few of the basement dwellers, built a solid foundation, where members of Gorilla Pimp would begin their professional recording careers. Like most young entrepreneurs, Ls expectation for his company was immediate payoff. But without a customer base to produce income, all expenses created by the studio would come directly out of pocket. Out of his pocket. The weight of the studio was becoming financially overwhelming. It was time this company held its own. Collectively a decision was made to produce and sell a compilation album. Jackin 4 Beats vol. 1 was completed. Then, a marketing strategy was implemented, Gorilla Pimp selling tactics. Gang up and go hard. It might be a little easier to turn down a single GP member but its damn hard to turn down a group of them. GP took to the streets hard, making every person a selling point. Moving approximately 2,500 unit of Jackin 4 Beats vol.1 locally. The streets, as they do, began to talk. The buzz of GP was out there. That was all GP needed to remain focused. The dreams began to take hold of the picture. The excitement levels at Aggressive Soundworks elevated. The realization that success was all possible, actually set-in. GP was ready to take on the moon.
