Based in the UK, The gOverness is the side project from Adam Henderson of Inkubus Sukkubus, Neil Cocks a Doctor of children’s literature at Southend University, Marcus Gilvear formerly of Gene Loves Jezebel & Karen Weight a performing arts student & teacher. Occasionally other selected musicians are involved too. The themes poetically explore romantic tragedy & despair, salvation & beauty, love & demise, all with inch perfect subtlety. Through Neil’s exquisite lyrical genius, Karen’s captivating & haunting vocals & the bands superb song writing & vision the music stands alone as truly original. Neil & Adam have been writing in bedrooms & basements since they were at school so there were lots of ideas & lyrics on God knows how many 4-track tapes & folders. Marcus is a pal of Adams through the Goth Rock thing & Karen just happened to be in a nightclub looking sexy one night. We hired out a practice room & this gracefully dark music just came out!Have you performed in front of an audience?We have played live once & when the time is right we'll do a proper tour
