Exploding on the jazz scene with 2004 debut CD, Through The Valley, Travis quickly became a smash hit with radio and concertgoers alike. 2007 marks a new chapter in Traviss career, with his latest release Just Let It Flow. Already know for his stage presence and flare for entertaining his audiences, Travis mixes it up with this genre-bending release, combining elements that seem to bring it to a full Smooth Jazz cycle, from Pop, Dance, R&B and World. Reminiscent of such artist as George Benson, Wes Montgomery, Norman Brown and Peter White. Traviss studio efforts have given him the ability to become a standout producer, songwriter and composer and Just Let It Flow showcases his ability to create music that everyone will love "Travis has definitely taken his music to the next level. His new CD is smooth and jazzy, and will flow very nicely on The River. We are glad artists like Travis are making our kind of music right here in the valley." Doug Wulff, Music Director/Co-owner The River, KRVR, Smooth Jazz 105.5 Modesto, CA "Vega's music flows like a soothing cup of tea first thing in the morning. Have you performed in front of an audience?
I do play live, around Northern CA. I love being able to present myself in a fun, and energetic manner, having a chance to entertain while playing my guitar, is something that I always want to give the audience, every show I do. Playing out has provided many great memories, in resent history, during the last set of one of my shows, two women felt the urge to dance with the band members and I, and in doing so, we all had a good time. I always feel that enteracting with the audience is very improtant to my shows.
Your musical influences
Charlie Christian, Wes Montgomery, George Benson, Norman Brown.
Anything else?
I love jazz and R&B, so what I did to get my particular sound, is combind both styles from my musical influences. The classic R&B that I grew up with and that great jazz playing, from the great musicians of the past. Have allowed me to infuse a style, that's jazzy and smooth.
