Experimental Sounds

Failure to Comply is an independent, experimental, ambient project out of tennessee that has been involved in a tradition of on going experimentation since 2003. In the first year of exsistence Failure to Comply recorded and released three full length cd's in uniform 7 seven inch style packaging titled, Chapter 13, The Libra and To Bring To Light. Also released that same year, one split cd with the chattanooga, tn artist Double Dick Slick featuring the track Adding Insult to Injury. Those items have since become rare on the market and sought after by many. 2004 brought a follow up of 2 more releases that featured the first ever collaboration titled Failure to Comply Vs. Mumra's Structured Descent and the epic The Heat of a Thousand Insults. Also having released poetry through the library of poetry for books and submitted poetry for release on spoken word cd projects through the library of poetry it seems limitless where the name may appear. 2005 has brought new material as well. The Sonic launch of the concept album Lunar Highlands and the Dark Maria and the first metal/experimental release Inertia. Failure to Comply is dedicated to the art of sound and may not be suitable for everyone.
Band/artist history

Have you performed in front of an audience?
Failure to Comply currently does not perform live. It is an expression of thought and experimenting with sound. However other projects i am involved with do so in the chattanooga, tn area. Such as Moscow Theatre Siege in which i play bass http://www.myspace.com/moscowtheatresiege, Madcow Steakhouse(formerly known as Double Dick Slick)in which i also play bass http://www.myspace.com/madcowsteakhouse , Nethinem in which i play guitar and vocals, Calm in which i play guitar and backing vocals, The Butcher's Daughter in which i play bass and backing vocals, Sotto Vox in which i play guitar and vocals, Soothsayer in which i play guitar. I have also sat in with other acts as a sampler in which my friends in the band Pistol Whip performed with Gwar in chattanooga, tn. I have enjoyed playing music throughout over 18 years of my life. Performing, practicing and most of all writing original music. I would say the first show i promoted for DDS with relapse records recording artist Mastodon was one of the highlights of my musical career. They are now seen on MTV's Headbanger's Ball on a regular basis. Since then i have also delt with the booking of many other fine bands such as Withered (Life Force) and Buried Inside (Relapse). I have always wanted to bring bigger acts to our area so we can grow with the music and not have to drive for hours to enjoy a performance by our favorite bands. I was also listed on The Phantom Limbs web page as one of two Outstanding Young Americans from Their 2003 Tour! Thanks guys. thephantomlimbs.com http://www.thephantomlimbs.com/shows/tour-US-2003.shtml
