Roger Lee Strosky was Born on November 27,1953 in Rapid City, South Dakota. Growing Up being Greatly Influenced by His Father, Gene Strosky, an Accomplished 'Jazz Drummer/Percussionist'. Starting on the Trumpet, he took on Several Instruments, including Drums and Guitar both of Which he Still Plays, Before Choosing 'THE BASS' as his First and Main Instrument. Throughout his Formative Years Roger lived in Los Angeles California, Cleveland Ohio, and Chicago Illinois. While resideing in these Great Musical Cities he Witnessed Countless Performances by Many 'Top-Named Artists' from the Jazz, Swing, Blues and Rock Fields which Contributed a Great MANY INFLUENCES to his Overall Development as a Muscian. It was while Residing in the Chicago Area that He Aquired his First Bass on Valentines Day 1967, at the Age Ripe Old Age of Thirteen. Throughout the years Roger has played Almost Every kind of Music Imaginable and has done so at either 'Local Venues' or 'On The Road' in which he Has Toured in Excess of 25 States and 3 Canadian Provinces Extensively throughout his 37 Year Career as a Pro Bassist. Not to forget Sweden, Norway and Denmark. He also Resided in the Seattle Washinton Area throughout the Late 70's playing the area and Opening Venues for groups such as 'BLACK OAK','HEART','MONTROSE','RANDY HANSEN' and Many Many others. Roger Re-Located to the Phoenix Area in March of 1990 and Throughout the 90's he worked with Phoenix Famed 'BOOT HILLER BAND' for nearly Five Years setting down as the House Band at the 'STARDUST LOUNGE' in Glendale Arizona ... Two Years prior to that with Award Winning Fiddler/Vocalist 'DOUG DEATHERAGE', and for a Year with Accomplished Award Winning Vocalist 'VIKKI RAE JORDAN'. He has also Played Venues such as 'BLOCKBUSTER DESERT SKY PAVILLION', 'COOPERSTOWN', 'CELEBRITY THEATRE' and 'COUNTRY THUNDER' in Queen Creek Arizona and Twin Lakes Wisconsin sharing stages with Many Top Names in the Recording Industry. He has Also Worked with 'Midnight Canyon' ... 'Vigilante Band' ... Performed Live and Recorded with the 'Tina Bailey Band' on Tinas' First CD Release 'PAINTING LIKE MOZART' as well as Playing & Co-Writing Songs on Her Newest and Just Completed CD Project 'SOUL TREE' which has been Three Years in the Making at their own 'Abcat Studio'. Thru February and March 2002, Roger Toured Norway, Sweden and Denmark with Phoenix Arizona Blues-Rock Guitarist Chuck Hall playing over 30 Shows throughout a Seven-Week Period which Also Included the 'Karlskoga Blues Festival' in Karlskoga, Sweden and the 'Lilihammer Blues Festival' in Lilihammer Norway. Working with 'Harry Luge' over the Past Year and a Half has Taken Him to 'Country Thunder' in Arizona and Wisconsin, 'Country Stampede' in Manhattan Kansas and the 'Wildhorse Saloon' in Nashville Tennesee. ALSO OVER THE PAST YEAR ROGER HAS PRODUCED AND RECORDED A SOLO ALBUM / CD TITLED 'DESERT DANCE'
