Rebymel, is an indie singer, songwriter, musician, producer an record label owner.
She studied foreign languages at the high school and she attended piano classes and lessons to acquire the classical singing technique at the music institute.
At the age of 12 she began composing original pop music songs and writing lyrics in English.
But she won't focus on her musical projects until 2009 when she meets a musician and songwriter and starts a collaboration with him.
She participated in many classical operas such as: Turandot, Carmina Burana, Tosca and in many musical concerts singing with her soprano voice.
In 2010 she had the privilege of being a member of the choir that sang at the bicentennial ceremony of the royal dynasty of Sweden.
She also was lead vocalist in two rock cover bands singing songs by various artists and bands such as: Anastacia, Skin, Anouk, Alanis Morissette and Roxette.
In 2011 she participated in the selections for the TV program XFactor but the casting selector told her that unfortunately they weren't interested in her voice register because it didn't match with their parameters.
In 2012 Rebymel teamed up with her collaborator and founded the indie record label 'Steve Records'. This marked a new approach to the music business for both of them.
They began to work seriously on their original songs.
They decided to divide the tasks according to their best skills: Rebymel as lyricist, vocal melody writer and singer, while Steve as musician, arranger and producer.
They learned new things individually and shared their opinions, ideas and improvements.
They dedicated together to the sound mixing and mastering of their songs, while they learned how to use the equipment to shoot their own videos and photos and the softwares to edit them.
In 2013 the first single "Outside my Love" was released and received a good response from the public entering the top 40 of the British pop/rock chart.
In 2014 another single titled "I'm Here" was published and caught the attention of the American indie rock radio stations.
Thrilled with the achievements, during the following 3 years Steve and Rebymel managed the recording studio, kept on writing new lyrics and music for their future songs and they rehearsed some cover songs for some local gigs.
They also contributed to some musical projects with some international artists, even though such works never were published for lack of a fair agreement.
When her collaborator suddenly died of cancer in 2017, Rebymel had to adjust to the new situation.
It wasn't easy at first and she needed time to recover, but she never thought about giving up or quitting.
Quite the opposite. She needed to keep a positive mindset and songwriting was a very helpful way to let her lowest emotions out and transmute them into something good.
That's when she started to play the piano again. Step by step she learned some new techniques. Soon she found herself playing and singing some of her favorite songs.
She also rearranged some of their songs to be able to rehearse them and sing along with the piano.
She learned from her mistakes and acquired new skills that opened new doors for her and helped her improve her self-esteem and self-confidence.
It was a period of personal growth and self-discovery and also a time of self-empowerment.
Everything she previously learned as a self-taught person about chord progression, voice and instrument recording, arrangement, music softwares, sound editing, audio mixing and mastering, was now essential for the music production.
In 2020 she founded the self named record label 'Rebymel Music' and the same year she released an acoustic piano version of the song "I'm Here".
The video was shot in her home studio during the pandemic and the best scenes were edited by Rebymel.
Thanks to her trained voice and professional recording equipment and studio, she has been able to offer services as a voice-over artist over the years.
The following year, she participated in the third edition of the Disklavier Composers Contest 2021 by Yamaha Entertainment with a Grand Piano piece titled 'Colors in the Rainbow'.
In 2023 she decided to take a new musical direction by creating a song named "Dynamic E-Motion" that combines EDM and dubstep influences for the Producers Challenge by Metapop.
The same year, she entered the Producer Royale Contest by Cymatics with 'Craziness' which unites the genres of hip-hop, contemporary RnB and trap.
In the present, Rebymel is working on concluding her pending projects, while she's taking notes of her new ideas.
She's also taking on new collaborations with other artists worldwide because improving and putting into practice her skills as a singer/songwriter, while she's learning from other people who share her same passion for music, is what keeps her motivated.
