Gospel Music with a traditional flare, with a soulful sound is the best way to describe the music of Kenneth Hall! Born and raised in Hazard, Ky. deep in the southeastern Ky mountains. Kenneth began to discover and realize his talent for music at the early age 10. Growing up listening to country and gospel music Kenneth immediately caught the attention of family and friends with his musical interests. Starting out singing in church as so many artist have in the past, Kenneth began to develop his voice and by his late teens had began to set sights on more. In 1991, Kenneth decided to actively pursue his music career. He recorded his first song Just Be Ready in Nashville, Tn. With Kevin Williams after a letter from Wendy Bagwell encouraging him to move forward. In 1993 His first album Just Be Ready received recognition on the Southern Gospel Charts. In 1995 Kenneth changed labels and recorded a Christian Country project entitled Your Money Cant Buy It with Makkedah Music in Greenville, SC. Also, in 1995 Kenneth felt the call of God upon his life to preach the gospel to a lost and dying world. In 1998 Kenneth released a single to radio called Somebodys Watching You that went to number 10 on the Country Gospel Guild chart. Kenneth has been nominated for several awards with the CGMA in Branson, Mo. in 2000 Kenneth accepted the Silver Heart Award as Bluegrass Artist of the year from the CGMA. In November 2000 Kenneth was named artist of the year from Country Gospel Southern Style magazine. In 2004 Kenneth had the opportunity to share the stage with Country artist Tommy Cash to sing Will The Circle Be Unbroken and in 2005 he shared the stage with Grand Ole Opry star John Conlee. Kenneth credits his innate talent to God and and throughout his career he has always followed his heart and dedicated himself to perfecting his skills as an artist. Kenneth now has 2 albums with a 3rd in the works with his new label Heartsong Nashville Music Group. Kenneth is preaching the gospel and singing in churches all over the country. From tent revivals in Tn and Alabama to churches in Baltimore, Md. God has surely blessed. He plays lead guitar, rythem, bass, banjo and a little mandolin. His wife Darlene plays drums with him in occasions and they still live in Hazard, Ky. And enjoys his grandchildren. Kenneths journey through the gospel is to see souls saved and see Gods people give their whole heart to him. Each service is unique and totally led by the Holyghost.
