We collectively are Walt Helming, guitars, bass and vocals; and Jim Glines, keyboards and vocals. Contact Jim Glines at jcglines@gmail.com for additional information.
We began as these things always do, a mutual agreement that means working with the best we can muster. We had no money, just a lot of drive, and we had about 12 songs in the works but had only begun to record when Walter died, and the project was abandoned.
We never played live. Walt was always working with other bands and he played out a lot; me, not so much.
We were all over the place when it came to musicians we adored, but we were first and foremost experimenting with our new material.
Walt liked Gibson guitars, any bass handy nearby. He was called 'One Take Wally' for a reason. Me, I played a lot of Korg rackmounts and some piano, worked a little with sequencing and with percussion.
If this album had come to be, it would have been fine work, and a lot of fun. Please listen to the songs with the knowledge that we had not even gone into re-record and the supporting vocals are non-existent because of what happened. We suffered a great loss, or I did certainly, because Walter was my friend since the age of six, and we recorded this material at the age of thirty-six. No matter what, we made ourselves happy about a future.
