I'm a guitarist from the north of England hoping to make some stupid music that hopefully some people like.
I started recording demos on my pc for my first band, Elysium and they weren't very good at first but then after leaving that band I kept recording music for myself and other bands I was in at the time until I'd written enough material over the course of about 4 years to release a solo album on Spotify. I was and still am dissatisfied with how the album came out so I'm working on album 2 and am hoping to make it even better.
I've played live a lot as of the last 7 months or so. there's been a lot of special memories. My first "Official" Show with my old band "Unkown Refuge" was great! a 4 hour drive from where i live but still worth every minute of it! another good memory was when i played my hometown with both my bands in one night! it was also my last show with Unkown Refuge.
as made obvious by the song from my album, "Yeah I Like Misha Mansoor How Can You Tell?" my biggest influence at the moment is Periphery as well as the other modern metal giants following in their footsteps. Those guys have influenced every part of my musical life from my guitar playing to my guitar tone and even the way I mix my music. a newer, or should i say revived influence has been Jun Senoue. he's been my favourite guitarist for a while now but I've only just recently been taking influence from his playing and my music comes out as alot of fun as a result.
I use no real amps or hardware amp sims in my music. The entire first album was recorded with the nalex ninja, a free software amp sim. I curently use Archetype Tim Henson and the Soldano SLO-100 from Neural DSP. As for guitars I use a squier telecaster, an Ibanez Jem Jr, an Aguda Black Hole Headless (my main squeeze now) and my trusty old Jackson 7 string which has been my workhorse for the last 4 years. all these now run into my scarlett 2i2 3rd gen.
Just enjoy the odd demos I post on here!
