FAQ
Why would I need a license?
A license is needed if you want to use the music for anything else than just listening for your pleasure. Typical uses are
  • freestyling over a beat
  • licensing music for use in TV or for a movie
  • remixing or use audio samples
What are the license options and what are the differences between those?
We offer up to 5 license templates (Basic, Premium, Track Out, Unlimited, Exclusive) and it's up to the artist which ones he/she wants to make available. Each license comes with different perks. In general, the higher the price, the better the perks.
You can click on each feature on the left side of the comparison chart above to learn more about each one.
When will I get the track I purchased?
You can download all related files immediately after your purchase. We also email you a one-time download link for a download later.
How can I remove the audio tag from the track?
A "tagged beat" is a demonstration version of an instrumental that contains distinct audio watermarks that typically play throughout the entire track. The purpose of a producer tagging his/her instrumental is to prevent piracy and to encourage serious recording artists to purchase a license.
To get a tag-free audio please make sure you purchase a license which features "untagged audio".
I purchased a $1 download, why is the beat still tagged?
Beats purchased for $1 in our store are meant for streaming and demo use only, just like downloads from iTunes store or Amazon music.
To license a beat without audio tag and to use in a professional manner please buy a license from this page. Usually those are $25 and up.
What is a stem / trackout file?
A Stem file is an audio file that contains a track split into several musical elements: A drums stem, a bassline stem, a harmony stem, and a lead stem for example.
The Stem file also usually includes the original stereo master of the track for standard playback.
Why would I need a stem / trackout file?
A trackout file gives you much better control. Imagine you rap over a beat and you realize the percussions take the focus away from your vocals. With a trackout file you can simply tone down the percussion and the focus is now on the vocals. With a trackout file you have much more flexibility and a whole different level of control.
TiMiLA Productions is owned and operated by Gary Jenkins, aka Gabriel Cross. He is a Los Angeles-based contemporary producer-songwriter-singer who specializes in R&B, pop and gospel music.
Band/artist history
Music has been a driving force for Gabriel since he was a kid. At age five, he started his musical journey with his first set of drums purchased by his mother, Betty. And, he loved to sing for his family and neighbors and formed local yard bands with neighborhood friends who also had an interest in music. In the third grade, he enrolled in his first music class and studied music through high school graduation. During his school years, he received many honors and accolades, including All-District and All-State Choral member. After graduating from Tift County High School in 1980, he received an offer to audition for the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. However, due to a tragedy in his family, Gabriel lost his passion for music and instead of enrolling at Berklee he decided on a journalism career and enrolled at Georgia Southern College (now Georgia Southern University) in Statesboro, GA. In 1984, with his Bachelor of Science in Journalism degree in hand, Gabriel moved to Miami, Florida. After a successful journalism career at the Miami News and Miami Herald, in 2004 Gabriel who in 1998 became a songwriter for PKA Entertainment Group along with his business partner P.B. Floyd moved to Los Angeles and formed IMI World, a film packaging company. But, in 2006, Gabriel and Floyd mutually decided to end their partnership and Gabriel started 2Dream Entertainment and JEBE Records and began serious work on his musical future. In 2008, he formed a musical partnership with songwriter-producer Dominique Piermid Wilson of BMH/Middiwest Music, who was tutored by R. Kelly and has worked with such artists as R&B heavyweights Rome, Tyrese, and Tank. From that partnership was born Gabriel's first music release, Revelations which received worldwide distribution in 2011. But, once again, tragedy struck in Gabriel's life, and he took some time off from music. In 2016, Gabriel felt the time was right to get back to his passion and made the commitment that regardless of what tragedies came his way he was determined to do what he feels he is purposed to do - create music. Focused and driven, Gabriel constantly is working on creating music that will put joy and love in the hearts of those who hear it.
