I was born and raised in the Bronx, New York during the late seventies early eighties. I have always been a student of music since I can remember, but by no formal means. Coming from a single mother on welfare and brought up on the system, we didn't have much. I would come home from school and bang on my mother's pots and pans after being in music class on the drums. That was where I was introduced to my one true love. The many problems at home, from domestic violence to going to bed hungry some nights, made me an intelligent but angry child. As a teen in the early 90's I began writhing rhymes. It was a way to express the struggles around me and channel my anger. I was also able to gain experience and get a taste of doing what most don't get a chance to do being around industry artists, producers, and in big recording studios. I always had a very good ear for catching dope loops or a snippet to chop. There had been vinyl playing in my house for years of the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's. All genres from Spanish love ballets to classic rock, and everything in between. I brought a gemini 8 sec sampler and was off to the races. At that time I was recording a loop on one cassette, then playing the cassette simultaneously with another sample playing on the gemini and re-recording them both on to another cassette to make one beat. Flash forward to the present. I have brushed shoulders with some of the hugest stars and written, produced, and engineered hundreds of tracks. However this does not make me the best just making the best with what I have.
