Band/artist history
It's always just been a hobby since way back with just a guitar -- And hard rock/metal drew me into it -- music -- And being the only outlet available for any kind of opposition to a world I could tell was way off and getting worse all the time -- Rebellion. -- Luckily I managed to not take the (too) destructive route as many did -- either to die physically and or mentally.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
No, not really.
Your musical influences
Older classic blues (country blues, folk-blues; eg, John Lee Hooker). I love the free spirit of these older solo blues artists, nothing commercial -- Simpler times. Then there's the whole rock thing up to heavy metal which seems all but over now thanks to nefarious corporations owning everything. A whole world of changes happened and are happening -- things a lot of metal lyrics actually warned us about.
What equipment do you use?
A Takamine acoustic guitar someone gave me, an used ESP electric guitar ($60), a thrift store amp ($30), a Fender Mini amp ($42), a Tascam DR05 portable recorder ($99), a laptop someone gave me, and Audacity freeware.
Anything else?

More about me: I'm just a normal guy in a world dominated by hooligans and sycophants. These songs are my hobby. Blues, naturally. Ron Freeman's songs are documents of a time and a place, snapshots hewn straight from Ron's soul to you. All the emotions are there -- never contrived beyond the usual stylistic influences. Spiritually, the songs vary depending on Ron's mood at the time. There may be the usual double entendre yet the sources are deep, resulting in songs that are like nothing you will ever hear anywhere else -- Nothing I've ever heard anywhere.. Music is a reflection of the performer and only occasionally have there ever been clear, unencumbered performances by anyone, any where -- performances devoid of the usual monetary or institutionalized, ie, corporatized devaluation. For example, early blues came from a culture all but gone now with roots far removed from the propaganda of the big city of their respective times ... this is something so needed now -- . Those early blues songs heavily influenced early rock musicians ... they recognized the truth ... and hated the commercialism slowly rising all around them. Good music is about truth ... in the spirit of truth. Ron is a diligent seeker of truth. He's not afraid of truth and does not pander to social norms -- Behaviors that are often far removed from any truth. He's a rebel in a time of few and a true rebel. There are imposters out there selling rebellion -- and those who have been sold it. Individuals that appear rebellious but are really rooted in nothing but maybe empty anarchy and nihilism. Go deep folks, most of these imposters are actually afraid of any real truth and just like acting bad -- like they are wearing a brand or it's just a weekend hobby. Ron Freeman's songs are recorded live in one take. They're new, fresh acoustic and electric impromptu blues or some genre yet to be defined. Ron is a practicing (keyword "practicing") singer/songwriter guitarist and producer self-recording in the classic blues style -- blues roots revival. "For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant." - King James Version of the New Testament - 1 Corinthians 7:22 RON FREEMAN /No Money Productions 2020 soundclick.com/ronfreeman email raspjohn@mail.com "I twist the truth, I rule the world, my crown is called deceit I am the emperor of lies, you grovel at my feet I rob you and I slaughter you, your downfall is my gain And still you play the sycophant and revel in your pain And all my promises are lies, all my love is hate I am the politician and I decide your fate" - excerpt from Orgasmatron (Lyrics/song by Motörhead).
