Raw, intense, and bangin is how Brandy Alexander, RUIN wants to be recognized for spittin on the mic. RUIN is her self-proclaimed title and its what she professes to do to her competition. Known as a woman of few words but many lyrics, the Richmond, Virginia native already knows what its like to be a female in the rap game. She started freestyling in fifth grade with a few classmates and was asked by her teacher to write rap lyrics for the D.A.R.E. program. Before long, Ruin started hanging out with an uncle who dee-jayed parties and he helped her hone her skills as an entertainer. All through high school she never battled girls because they were always afraid of her but the guys lined right up! And, she knocked them down one by one. She has surrounded herself with an array of producers such as Choo The Specializt who is responsible for producing tracks for the late Tupac Shakur and Wu-Tang Clan, Mary Jane Productions in NYC, Psyche Mantaz of Blaq Psyircle, and Short-cut in Altanta who was instrumental in signing Jagged Edge to SoSo Def Recordings. And now she has been featured on more than a 100 mixtapes. Ruin has definitely made a name for herself and its clear that somebody messed up when they let her in the rap game! So, the question is not where she is coming from but where she is headed. If asked, she would be the first to tell you the answer is straight to the top! So without further a do, turned the volume up and lets preview Ruins album FIRE.
