BAND BIO and TRIBUTE
The Classic Southern Rockers is a blend of southern rock's best, having featured founding and contributing members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot and the Outlaws as well as special guest appearances by some of southern rock's greatest musicians. This buffet of talent will satisfy even the hardiest of appetites in Rock & Roll. With so many platinum albums combined, the history speaks for itself. As always, the music is played from the heart in loving tribute by those that share the love of the timeless music that is Lynyrd Skynyrd.
With the end of the Best Of The Rest & Second Helping tours in 2003, 2004, 2005, C.S.R. would like to thank all the legendary artist that have gave their hearts and time to play with this show.
They are: Bob Burns, Artimus Pyle, Timmy Lindsey, Steve Grisham, Berry Rapp, Dave Hlubek, Greg T. Walker, Jackson Spires, Mike Estes, Randall Hall and Tom Curiale.

The Classic Southern Rockers have a few new faces in the band on the 2005 & 2006 tour lineup. I have looked the world over to find the best players possible to play this timeless music in its original style and form. I feel I have found them. They are Bob Burns Lynyrd Skynyrd's original drummer, Rich Tancredi (Keys), Cris Snyder (bass), Tim Breen (Lead), Jimmy Gallagher (Lead), Ted Patton (Vocals) and Casie Shannon (Backup Vocals). Please see Biographies for full tour lineup.
The show is an electrifying exact recreation of the classic Skynyrd band right down to the double lead signature licks with ripping piano solos so close to the original that you will not believe your ears. The Classic Southern Rockers is made up of some of the best pro players from all over the United States including Texas, Georgia, California, West Virginia, New York City and Florida.
The Classic Southern Rockers stand ready to perform the timeless music of the late great Ronnie Van Zant. God bless the Lynyrd Skynyrd Band. We came together to keep alive the Southern Rock music of the 70's and the music of the greatest southern rock band of all time, Lynyrd Skynyrd. We love to play it, and I love to sing it. The band members have all been a part of some of the greatest rock bands in the country including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, the Outlaws and Blackfoot.Have you performed in front of an audience?We will play anywhere we can get a gig, in the country or overseas. We are scheduled for different parts of the country at present.

Yo Ted! Long time no see! I've been big time busy with the Half Track gig (check us out at http://halftrackband.com and the band is really starting to take off. We're gonna start laying down tracks for our upcoming CD and two of the original songs we've been playing live are already bringing the house down. It's been a ton of fun.
But on the instrumental side of things, I just posted up a couple of new tunes. One is a sample of the first song on my upcoming instrumental CD called, "Overbored", and the other is my weak attempt at playing bluegrass-style music. My kids demanded that I post it up so I finally gave in. If you get the time, check 'em out and tell me what ya think!
