A Break in the Clouds
Gaz Lawrence created Shadowperimeter in 2010 as a recording project outlet for his rock post punk influences. The tracks have been evolving over the years with new material recorded in 2017 in Cambodia with contributions from singer and producer Scoble Ryder..more tracks were mastered at Road 60 Studios Siem Reap.The music has an old school 80s new wave post punk feel with a psyche twist.Two albums have been released and can be downloaded here as well as as another unreleased album.

its been a steep learning curve from when I started the project by accident after stalled collaborations left me with recording gear and instruments...left to my own devices to start experimenting ..and these strange tunes started forming...I was into goth and post punk at the time along with some grunge and progressive influences which clearly had an effect on the songs..Have you performed in front of an audience?In other acts and projects yes but Shadowperimeter has been a recording studio project only...would be fun to kick it live one day.
Your musical influences
The Cult....Duffy and Astbury are big influences...Sisters of Mercy of course..the Cure...grunge music...Pink Floyd...joy division,pixies,Zepplin...dub reggae...so many thrown into the Shadowperimeter potWhat equipment do you use?
In the past I played Fender Strat and Les Paul juniors. Shadowperimeter its been a strange bunch of second hand instruments obtained on ebay...the guitar was the most interesting...its a fender I found on ebay really cheap and had a killer sound and action but not sure if it was real or fake...then I had a MRT drum machine, no name bass and a old 80s keyboard plus a wah pedal and multi fx...all recorded through a zoom 4 track and put onto Krystal software...a very low budget project at first but I was helped polishing the tracks by Road 60 studios in CambodiaAnything else?
The music is dark but the message is positive...share and hope you enjoy the songs as much as I enjoy creating them.love and light.GazREAD MORE
