Made the Beat first ...then I found the acapella...funfact...The rap is completed by a sample in the OG song...that sample is missing in the vocals so I had to find something...I found MC Hammer and it fit just fine
so this beat is again made from a Nina Simone Sample...I am kind of obsessed with her. This time I sampled from Vinyl instead of YT... Mixed it for a loud master and yes this is by far the loudest track I ever produced.
With this Beat I am completing the Rusty Beats Tape. It contains no samples. Thanks for listening, from now on I am uploading my newest Stuff. Mixed for louder mastering.
I sampled this from Nina, then added the synth and also tapped in the percs .No quantization on there .The rain you hear is actually Alicia, my Girl at the time, taking a shower. Cranked up the SM7B to record her thru a closed door.
I chopped and layered on this Beat. Sampled from an unknown Band on a Smooth Jazz Sample CD. In the Background you hear sounds from a bar. The concept could be that the Rappers have a conversation while sipping on some drinks.
For this I chopped up Della Humphrey's "Don't make the good girls go bad" One of my favorite samples. I just kept it as simple as possible. I just might buy the record and make a new version cause this is sampled from YT
From a technical standpoint this is my best beat. I chopped up a huge amount of samples and layered them. I also like the drums and the pattern I did. But what I like best is the bass line and how I created the change in the hook
I also Sampled Curtis Mayfield on this track. The Organ type sound and the guitar are the sample. I chopped the organ so I could do pitch variations before it continues in its original pitch behind the guitar. I also added my bikes freewheel sound.
This is by far the oldest beat in this series. I sampled Curtis Mayfield for this. I chopped up the loop and just added kick, snare, hihat and the cymbal. The snare is also sampled from the track. Super easy ;)
This is a new beat of mine. The Brass Stab Sample is from Gabor Szabo's Dreams Album and then I added Stabs I sampled from Aristocats. Filtering the hiss would have destroyed some of the samples background so I kept it raw like Methodman.
On this beat I used no samples. I used a technique for the first time and thats recording a chord and then put that in the sampler. I also recorded the Ukulele. The humming is the light in my bathroom. during production I noticed it fit the key :D
This is one my favorites, just because of the old school style and because I love brass Instruments. Also it's one of those beats that need to be dressed. I chopped up a Ska sample on this.
For this beat I sampled a older German beer commercial. The horns in bar 8 of the loop. Also the rest in the song is made of that horn sample. I then switched the jacks on those tracks so they would be on the other side. The bells are anime sampled
I am starting my Rusty Beats tape with this beat, which actually is one of my newer ones. All Rusty Beats I will be uploading have been uploaded at some point already but now they are mastered and just the ones I enjoyed the most over the years.
Did this a year ago, created the beat first then looked for some lyrics and found this, then arranged both new and added some FX sounds to match the lyrics
