Derrick Culler, II a.k.a. Prince Marv and Kenneth D. Culler a.k.a. Kobra Beatkiller, were born in northern New Jersey. At a very early age, they relocated to southern New Jersey where they attended and graduated from the Cherry Hill school system. The two brothers are the youngest of three older siblings. While surrounded by music their entire lives, the two began their more serious musical quest during their years in South Jersey.
As sons of singer, song writer and vocal producer Derrick Derky Culler of the 90s, who has written for the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin, Jermaine Jackson, pop R&B group Surface, Barbra Weathers, former lead singer of pop R&B group Atlantic Star, and Keith Sweat, just to name a few, were influenced by their dads extraordinary style, yet with a flavor of their own.
Growing up in this musical environment certainly gave them an edge in the development of their music careers. Prince Marv who is the oldest of the duos writing and producing team, started developing his production skills at the age of 12 years old. His brother Kobra, who is four years younger, began shadowing his older brother a couple of years later when he was ten years of age. The duo team has grown into talented and focused young men on a mission to achieve greatness in the music world and in life.
