Band/artist history
Melodramus is a Progressive Rock and Metal band from Salt Lake City, Utah that now resides in Seattle, WA. The music combines several aspects of Classical, Jazz, Blues and funk within their very heavy and melodic style. The band's debut album, '30 Silver Pieces', released in 2007 and paved the beginning steps for the band. The album comprises more than one genre as elements of rock, metal, and pop weave in and out of songs. in the years afterward the band was able to grow on many different levels in terms of musicianship and songwriting while making connections with the powerful Song Haus Music. Their second studio album 'Two: Glass Apple', was released in late 2010, and is vastly different sounding than the first. Soon after the release of 'Two: Glass Apple', Mikey Collard and Zakk Hale's brother Ted Newsom aka "The Rose Phantom" left the band. Trevor Alder then took the position of the bassist for a short time. The Rose Phantom is now very active making his own music records and artistic videos but still very connected to Melodramus. The band's current line up consists of the original frontman Zakkary Hale on lead vocals and guitar. Sam Hopkins: Bass Player Max Dail: Drummer Sierra Rae: Keyboard and synth, vocalist and backup guitarist. Melodramus is now in the process of recording their 3rd full-length album.
