The Artist known as Big Emage was born as a Gemini on June 6th of 1984. I grew up in a poor and broken home. With no father present and being raised by a single mother, relatives, and the community. Life struggles, trials, and tribulations led me to look to music for my escape. When I was around 5 years old my ears were introduced to hip-hop and r&b. Any relative or friend of mine could tell you that since then my ears were in the headphones non-stop. I was hooked to hip-hop and it was the only music that I could feel running through my veins because I could relate to almost every hip-hop song I had ever heard. Around the age of 14, I began to write poetry and my own songs all relating to my life, times and what I was about. Around the age of 16, I was recording in a studio with Villen Clique. The group consisted of Danny "Temper" McKinney and Ryan "Stick" Treadway. We all went through many stages as artist and all of us improved and escalated in talent no matter what. We all made each other better at the craft and art of being lyricist and perfecting delivery on the microphone. In 2012 Villen Clique performed a show locally and it was Epic!! Shortly after that we split up as a group and I continued on as a solo artist in pursuit of my career in music. Over the past 4 years I have been working very hard in the studio perfecting lyricism, delivery, and pulling my craft together as an Independent Artist. I am precise and perfectly on point as an artist and can work with literally any genre of music and any artist. I mostly produce, engineer, mix, and master my own music. It's Now 2016 and I have all the tools and a great team and movement behind me to make everything possible.
