Official DJ for Barry J, CAPS, ChoiceBeats, & Semaj B
Miles Maximus is a composer/ producer hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. His knack for crafting distinguished sounds sets him apart from the competition.
Music has been an integral part of Maximus' life since an early age. He began his music career at the age of 8 with the piano. By age 11 he had branched into the world of brass with the baritone. He broadened his horizons further in his teens by learning the remainder of the brass family, including the tuba, trombone, & trumpet. In conjunction with Miles massive knowledge of instruments, he also became well versed in music theory, conducting, and music pedagogy, which rounded out his formal music education. In addition to his classic back round he familiarized himself with Finale music notation software and began composing pieces from scratch. This knowledge opened the door to FL Studio (Fruity Loops) where Miles found himself creating music in a different light.
In 2006, Miles began his production career working with local Atlanta based artist Young $crilla (now known as Da Real $Krilla). His work was instrumental in the release of $Krilla's debut mixtape "Up & Comin' Star" with DJ Smallz. His thirst for knowledge led Maximus to take time off from production to concentrate on his studies and earn his BA in sport marketing/ management. Shortly thereafter, Miles began his deejaying career in 2008 providing his talent to private parties, fraternity parties, and special events while at Morehead State University. After attaining his degree he immersed himself, once again, in making music. His classical background, juxtaposed with his expertise of industry software and taste for 21st century sound, produce a captivating style that is uniquely Maximus.
In addition to being a mobile DJ, the Lexington based DJ has provided opening talent for Bubba Sparxxx, hosted various hip-hop showcases, and held a residency at Club 169 (Morehead, KY). He is currently working on various projects for 2015 which include work with his record label, Born Ready Entertainment (20/20 Records). Miles Maximus won't stop until he reaches the pinnacle of success.
