DustStorm is metal/rock band based out of Battle Creek MI. They prefer to call their style "Cowboy Metal". The band is currently made up of Jay Blaylock on Guitars and Vocals. With Damien Detris on all percussion.Band/artist history
The band was originally formed in late 2014. By Jay Blaylock (Guitars/Vocals), and Al Nash (Drums). After their prior band discontinued. In 2015, the band released the album Hombre, through Cdbaby. Under it's prior owners. The band went out and toured with Detroit Death Trap and Beloved Betrayal.
The band began working on new material. When they went through some personnel changes. They briefly hit the road again doing open jams. To tighten up the live show. Just for the 2020 pandemic to hit.
The band would regroup in late 2021, and discussed future plans. However, in April 2022, drummer and founding member Al Nash. Would pass away from stage 3 cancer.
In late 2022, remaining members, Jay Blaylock, and Damien Detris. Would carry on the band. With the announcement of a series of releases, featuring Al Nash.
The first release was, The Gallows, in 2022. Followed up by John Wayne, on New Years of 2023.
The band released their first live album,titled Live At The Okie Doke Saloon, in March of 2023.READ MORE
