Band/artist history
The EYE band has always been a DIY underground independent music project. For a summary and history about the see the groups's official website and the page on discogs via . EYE formed in the Australian capital city of Canberra in 1990. EYE's members have also resided for significant periods in the cities of Sydney, Melbourne and Perth as well as American cities of San Diego, Los Angeles, Newark and New York City USA. Numerous EYE songs were very popular on alternative radio stations in Australia during the 1990s and 2000s. These included the electronic punk protest rock songs "Mandate!", "Taliban (Made by the USA)", "Refugees (Detention without Trial)", "Workers United" and "Grave New World" as well as tracks released under other project titles like The E.L.F. ("ELF") - songs such as "A Nice Walk in the Park" and "CIA Hypno-Programmed Robot Assassin". EYE songs were also broadcast on national Australian TV stations; on the music video programs - ABC "Rage" and SBS "Alchemy". During the 1990s and 2000s songs by the EYE band and related projects were released on various artist compilation CDs on around 60 occasions. See and also for a near complete listings.
