Danny Ramirez is a singer-songwriter of murder ballads and has been described as 'Evil Elvis', 'Johnny Cash goes Black Metal' and 'acoustic death metal'..
Danny Ramirez started on Tuesday June 2, 1998, when he suddenly started singing an acoustic guitar song about a serial killer.
Danny Ramirez has been playing live since April 2, 1999, and did gigs in the Netherlands, Finland, France and Germany. While in earlier years he sometimes performed with the lyrics projected on a screen behind him, up from 2016 Danny began spreading lyric sheets among the audience members right before his live performances. The idea being that the people sing Danny's murderous lyrics along with him and by doing so back to him. Ramirez did supports for a.o. morbid singer-songwriter Amigo The Devil, bluegrass metallers The Goddamn Gallows and country punk and Hank 3 bassplayer Joe Buck Yourself at some Dutch dates during his European solo tour.
Danny Ramirez's musical influences range from country music to traditional Mexican folk tunes. His lyrical influences however are more important and include a.o. the murder metal band Macabre, the horrorgore death metal band Necrophagia and horrorcore act Insane Clown Posse. In fact, the first Danny Ramirez song got written just four days after seeing Insane Clown Posse perform live.
