The Sun Always Shines

King of Mediocrity
Silly Rock-a-billy. There are times we all feel like losers. You've got to be able to laugh at yourself.

Funky SNAFU
Pop, Funk, Rock and loads of fun with a deeper message snuggled into the lyrics.

She believes in nothin
Indie Rock with hints of U2 or Jack White. All instruments by Quico except lead guitar courtesy of Don Paul Moore.

Weightless Autumn Gems
A blend of funky beats with a dark tinge of Goth, perhaps. Darkly beautiful, energetic, an exploration of abusive love and perhaps just a slightly masochistic sense of loss that it is gone.

Step After Step

Gone Away
"Gone Away" is again a mix between Rock, Funk and Goth. I've been told it sounds a little like Peter Gabriel.

Burnt Rain
"Burnt Rain" is a return to my original musical instrument, the piano. This song has a much stronger Blues and traditional Rock arrangement.

Lift your Voice
Another song based on Reggae, but with an Americana twist. Gabe Steele on fretless bass and Justin Herdman on drums/percussion.

Better Left unsaid
This song is based losely on African soukous, mixed a bit with ska and jazz. Lyrically it is a poem I wrote in high school about the "meaning of life"...with a Spanish chorus inspired by the writing of Gabriel G. Marquez.

Flower in the Tower
I tend to do a lot of reggae and tropical styled songs this one is a reggae

Tolerance
This song was inspired when listening to Widespread Panic one day followed by some Irish bands. I wanted to do a song about the dangers of "thoughtless tolerance". Gabe on bass, Justin on drums, Don Paul guitars.

Chavez el Asesino
I'm married to a Venezuelan and this song is about the dictator Hugo Chavez: "Chavez the murderer", focuses on the April 11 massacre at Puente Llaguno. Stylistically, it is based on the kind of music "Los Fabulosos Cadillacs" would write, ska.

Sun Always Shines After The Flood
This is the original full arrangement with Don Paul Moore on Guitar

The Devil's in the Garden
A darker rock song to express how I was feeling about events in the country. It will upset liberals and delight conservatives.

Where Red Fern Grows short
