ZeroPointOne was formed in the early portions of 2002. With many key member changes over the years, ZeroPointOne's style and sound have change a lot from past to present. All the new material of the present is the most powerful, aggressive, and emotional music the band has ever done. We hope you take the time to listen to our tracks right here on SoundClick, and become apart of the ZeroPointOne family. Band/artist history
This begins as a story of four separate bands... VerZion 6 and JUNKhead were formed at about the same time in late 1998. VerZion 6 was comprised of Geoff Greenman on drums, Mike Bishop on guitar, Ralph Brooks on bass and Dave Anderson on lead vocal. JUNKhead was a mixture of Donny Kemick III on main vocal, Pat Cramer on bass, Josh Curcio on guitar and Mark Wolford on drums. Shortly thereafter was formed Kriegspeil, a younger outfit which consisted of John Lockwood on lead vocal, Dave McGarry on drums, Rick Griesbaum on guitar, and a seemingly revolving bass position... VerZion 6 split in late 1999, and Mike Bishop found himself in the second guitar slot in the aforementioned JUNKhead. Things progressed and eventually JUNKhead had also absorbed Geoff on drums and Ralph on bass. It was this lineup, with Donny on vocal and Josh and Mike filling guitar duties, that recorded the self-titled JUNKhead EP. This recording paved the way for JUNKhead to do much regional touring like... ...destroying local clubs with the kind of crowd action never before seen in the area... ...playing to packed houses in major cities......winning the semi-finals at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Battle of the Bands in Cleveland, OH... ...and numerous higher-profile gigs with bands like Mushroomhead, Crowbar, Pissing Razors, and even the likes of Skid Row. JUNKhead toured nearly a year and a half on the strength of the EP, and was making major headway on a full studio album when it came to pass that Donny Kemick left the band. After this setback, the three remaining members of JUNKhead (Geoff, Mike, and Ralph) decided to "drop back 10 and punt," adding Kriegspeil's former dynamic frontman John Lockwood on lead vocal. The band jettisoned nearly all of it's old material in favor of writing new and uncontaminated tracks, rechristening itself ZeroPointOne. After some 8 months of writing and local touring, ZeroPointOne began recording it's first EP in January 2003. During this time they parted ways with founding guitarist Mike Bishop and drummer Geoff Greenman and added new guitarst Nick Freer, (formerly of Dim Revival) and have gone through a couple of drummer changes. Now, working with drummer Jose Crespo, the band is currently writting new material and working on releasing a new E.P. that has been pushed back several times since the tracks were recorded in early 2004. The future of ZeroPointOne is fianly looking up, and to keep track of that, visit our website at http://www.zeropointone.com
