Drew Diesel is no stranger to the music industry. In 2008, at the age 15, the teen was 1 mixtape away from being signed. "I let my dream slip right out of my hands", he says. Recently, Diesel decided to get back into the music game, but this time on the mixes. "I started producing in '09 and was pretty good at it. The first few tracks I did were popular on SoundClick as freebies. I have a love for house and dance music, so I decided I wanted to get back into the music game as a DJ".
After a long hiatus from the music industry, Drew is ready to step back into it guns blazing. "It won't get away from me this time".
Released mixtapes/singles as a rap artist in '08 '09 an was close to being signed. Unfortunately I gave up on my dream. Decided, after a short hiatus, to get back into the game but as a DJ/producer instead.
I don't play live, but I am chosen as the DJ for most of the parties we have. Can't really pick one special moment, but I can normally feel out the crowd pretty well, and that's always a useful talent to have as a DJ.
Lady Gaga inspired me to follow my dream, which is music. Her style also influences mine because of how unique it is. Some other influences of mine are Afrojack, David Guetta, Daft Punk, DJ Tiesto, and Deadmau5. I'm also a big fan of dubstep. The new style of most pop music is also where some of my influence comes from, seeing as it sounds "electronic".
Lyrically, I'm inspired by T.I., Kanye, Jay-Z, Eminem, The Game, Pitbull, and Kid Cudi.
