Go Home Freshmen was formed in Summer 2010 by former members of PoleCat; Mikey Kehr and Marcus Ford. They recruited Tyler Hill, and Zach Mills from Heart Of a Hero to take up the Lead Guitar and Bass spots. Lastly they picked up Andy Cizek (former vocalist from The Hardest Decision and Littlefoot) to provide vocals and keys. The group was formed to bring together some of the best music of PoleCat and The Hardest Decision and give them a new sound and better energy. Everyone's experience in other groups has given Go Home Freshmen a big headstart on gigs and recordings. After working with Sam Hillman at Brambleton Sound during the summer of 2010, Go Home Freshmen released their debut EP "Look Who's Talking". To pick up a copy, you can find it in the Mediafire links above! It's free now! In Spring 2011, Marcus Ford and the band went their separate ways and the band recruited good friend Phil DiGioia (ex - My Best Friend's Birthday) as their new drummer. They are also in the process of writing their first full-length record coming out later this year. In June of 2011, Andy Cizek left the band for personal reasons and the band has decided to move on as a five piece with Mikey Kehr on Lead Vocals and Nick Venezia (former Lead Guitarist of Color the Coast) has joined on lead guitar.
Being inspired by a more traditional pop-punk style than the Four Year Strong/A Day To Remember-esqe "Happy Hardcore style, they have started working on new material for their follow-up to the Look Who's Talking EP. Newly discovered influences such as The Story So Far, Transit, Fireworks, Rust Belt Lights and others helped shape their new sound. GHF is currently recording their first full length album; "So Far.. So Bad" at Brambleton Sound.
