C.L.O is short for Camera Lights Offstage
It all started out more than a decade ago with a simple harmony produced between brothers captivated by the creative art of making beautiful melody with the singular use of the vocal chords, while snapping happy fingers in accompaniment to the beat. The words sang; Father we love youJesus we thank youHoly Spirit we adore you. Yes, they started off as root members of a gospel Acappella group in the popular and most respectable days of the Boom-Boom express.
Born into the second trio from a family of six siblings (all male), they found a natural bond between each other early on at the developmental stage of life. With their play time theme mostly dominated and directed by their love for character play, they were often found re-creating scenes from a Famous Five or a Hardy Boys novel with their pet dog, or reciting catchy lines from their favorite movies in a game of Charade - a bonding they found very much alive years after, one which most definitely led to the formation of the group and her intriguing name, Camera Lights Offstage - C.L.O.
With an objective to compose and only record songs with a soul, C.L.O released her first single on the airwaves on four (4) Lagos state based radio stations on the 13th day of July, 2011; and received a most welcome and warm reception from those who heard the song. In keeping with their objective, the track proved to have a soul indeed, as it took listeners on a journey they most certainly wanted to experience a couple more times over, never really having enough each time as the hit track appealed to the emotion; transcending them into a much relaxed state of mind where everything seemed beautiful, through the smooth harmony in their voices. As such, the hit single I NOR SEND was aptly tagged by some as The Virus, because listeners confessed to never having enough of it with a single play they were irreversibly hooked on the loop.
A brand which has been in the making in itself for quite some time, with their debut album PLACEHOLDER under wraps, C.L.O is guided by a simple mantra:
if it aint good, it aint coming out...
