I go by the BAND name of Ohmega Watts (haha) I'm a Producer/MC and I am also part of a band named Lightheaded! I am also on an independant music label named: www.ubiquityrecords.com but without the .com!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play live with my group Lightheaded, all different places, LOVE it. Played with Zion I, Blueprint & Illogic, One Many Army, Lifesavas, Procussions, Quivah, and others. There has been plenty of special moments, when people are actually drawn closer to their purpose through the words and power behind our music. I keep Christ first and all other things follow. With that concept, it changes the way I look at JUST performing, but sharing myself with people, with real life issues. It's DOPE!
Your musical influences
Jazz, 70's Rock, Funk, Soul, 70's R&B. Then Pete Rock, DJ Spinna, DITC, Quantic Soul Orchestra, Jaydee (j-dilla), Primo, DJ Shadow... too many to name.
What equipment do you use?
MPC 2000, Dig in the crates, Motif6 keyboard, Roland VS-840, my vocal cords for some samples, and a bag of ingenuity.
Anything else?
Peace to all who check out and dig my work. I know in life I can't please everyone, but I know there are peeps out there who dig what I do, and the music I create for listeners... is just good music, from bboy to lounge... I'm all bout it bout it! =) Peace and blessings, O. Shout out time... To the Wax Reform Massive: Dela, Muneshine, Dminor, Illmind, Presto (Brainstorm), myself, and Mphazes. Then shouts to crews and individuals putting out quality music: Quantic Soul Orchestra (Tru-thoughts), Ninjatune, Quannum Projects (All Memebers), Rjd2 (Soul Posistion), Spinna, J5, Diverse, Ugly Duckling, The Procussions, Illogic, Madlib, Oh No, (Stones Throw Camp) Breakestra, DJ Format, TM Juke, Bonobo, Jay-dilla, J-live, Jean Grae, Apani B, PUTS, Mark Farina's (Mushroom Jazz Series) Sirens Echo (Old Dominion Camp), Tony Stone, and my list goes on, you get the idea though.
