This double disc takes you on the journey of the creation of Bent Self, providing an authentic look at the progression of vocalist Dustyn Marsing. The innovative musicality of this album includes an abstract mix of musical genres and poetic lyricism. Exclusive media will also be provided, including music videos, pictures, behind the scenes studio footage, and original artwork; all solely produced by Bent Self. This full album will also highlight a variety of guest musicians on multiple tracks. The debut single, "Love's Dry" features vocals from Rachel V. from Clandestine II and is now available for download.
Dustyn Marsing has been in the local and semi national music scene since 2001. As the vocalist for Arvins Garden, his aggressive vocals, relatable lyrics, and commanding stage presence lent to the wide popularity of this nu-metal band. Bent Self is an expression of Dustyn Marsing in its entirety. This solo project has been influenced by a variety of artists including Mike Patton, NIN, Hed pe, OutKast, DJ Krush, and Atmosphere.
Bent Self music is not intended to sway toward a certain genre, but to expose the wide range of emotions, dynamics, and creativity with dark undertones. The world is full of love and hate and so is the music of Bent Self.
