" It felt like I was being sucked through a grass tip, then I just started crying..." Not an uncommon statement said by the talented, yet comical drummer, Jason Wetmore of the band Waking Suburbia. The band consists of Saul (Vocals, lead guitar), Mike (Vocals, guitar), Andrew (Bass, backup vocals) and Jason (Drums). Before Waking Suburbia was formed, the members played in other bands. They were good friends before hand and thought it would be cool to start a band. They quickly realised that they have a very upbeat, hookdriven, punk sound. As for the band's future, they look forward to recording several EP's and getting well-known in the Ottawa area. While doing this, they make sure that they "Stay on the line".
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Waking Suburbia has played in several locations, though we throughly enjoyed the sound at Greenfield's Pub!
Your musical influences
Blink 182 has been a big influence on us as well as kings of Leon! Faber drive, Marianas trench and Hawk Nelson.
