Myself included, millions of people around the world feel out of place, in the way, purposeless, and alone. In my experience, music has been the only thing that has had the ability to alleviate this sense of irrelevance and, because of this, my hopes are to switch sides in the helper to hopeless relationship the art involves and one day become a voice similar to that of one of the many artists who screamed into my ear on countless occasions, all the while guiding me through the bullshit life seems to be permanently attached to. I once read that a man is nothing but what he is done and that there is no such thing as potential. I've learned to believe in those words and by accepting them, I've decided to give my dream a chance to exist in a conscious state. We are all capable of molding the world into what we want, it's just a matter of whether or not we choose to do it.
It's kind of hard to have one seeing is it has just begun!
I did quite frequently with my former band, She's The Breeze. Performing live is easily one of, if not my favorite, things to do...PERIOD. The songs I write come from a secret place in my mind that is not exposed through anything aside from my music. I'm not one to talk about their problems or let someone know how I truly feel that often, so I pour all of my bottled up thoughts into my lyrics and release any backed up emotion by singing it with the appropriate passion and energy for the subject matter. Basically what I'm trying to say is, it is only when I play music that I'm truly vulnerable, so when I perform in front of an audience and there is a positive reaction, it's a genuinely humbling sensation and one that I could not properly express with words. I haven't played live since the band split, but as soon as I have enough material that I"m comfortable with, I fully intend on getting out there again as soon as possible. Look for me all over NJ!
I am inspired by virtually everything that my senses are able to detect. As for music, I could go on for days listing the people who gave me a reason to wake up every morning, so I won't give them all. I will however say that Max Bemis (Say Anything) has easily had the biggest impact on my life, and some of my other absolute favorites would be Jimmy Eat World, Third Eye Blind, Eve6, Marilyn Manson, Between The Buried and Me, and of course the lyrical mastermind whom is the great Slim Shady.
