The Ellis Conclusion

The date 10-28-03.
I randomly received a demo from a friend and she said I would like it. They are The Ellis Conclusion. One day I started repeating lines and cool chords in my head. I kept thinking to myself, who is this, I really dig that song. Then as I racked my brain, I realized it was The Ellis Conclusion song that my friend had given to me. Immediately I was itching to make time to sit down and write their review. After speaking with the gentlemen of The Ellis Conclusion, my conformation of amazment goes to bands that are not even a year old and have this certain magic to them. The Ellis Conclusion had their second show at Chain Reaction last week and sold 120 tickets and the crowd was already singing along with them. Its not every day that you find that magic in a band. Ellis Conclusion holds that magic and talent in their music. When I hear The Ellis Conclusion, I think kid prodigy. They are a five piece band, two of the members still in high school and the rest in their freshman year of college.
The Ellis Conclusion is too hard and positive to be a goth band, too whaling and melancholy to be a hardcore band, too much soul to be a metal band, too diverse to be a straight edge band...I think that they cross over into many genres and don't fit into one nicely. This is a major plus for a band that is going to make it...The Ellis Conclusion matches up to these standards.
