I started out making club style beats on an old Casio keyboard and recording them into Audacity. As I became more and more immersed in hip hop and the hip hop culture, however, I started sampling and cratedigging, and then started to find new sounds that I could use in my productions, in place of snares, kicks and hats from so-called 'producer packs', in order to develop my own sound. I then hooked up with homegrown rapper and multi-instrumentalist, Mose, and since then have built a top-quality studio and continue to work closely together.
I also play a bit of guitar on the side. While I produce a great deal of Mose's beats, I also play guitar for him at his live shows.
The Golden Era of Hip Hop.
Cubase, Rode mics, vintage Casio keyboards, MPC-4000, turntables, vinyl and whatever else I can find.
