On one level, “Spirit” tells of a guy continually searching, trying to find the band of his dreams that play pure rock 'n' roll. On another level, it can be interpreted as the Spirit, or ghost, of Buddy Holly wandering through the fog-bound streets

As the title suggests, it's the story of a lovable rogue - a wheeler dealer, who is constantly on the run, doing his best to stay one step ahead of the law.

I originally envisaged this as a theme song to a TV series. The character, not wanting to be tied down, moves on from town to town, in & out of various love affairs & misadventures.

This was inspired from a quote by Oscar Wilde. I saw the framed quote hanging on the wall of the Ettamogah Pub & decided it would make a good song title. A definite drinking song!

A Ballad written to express my feelings about the woman I love - what more can I say!

Nothing much to tell on this one. I wrote it with the specific purpose of having a catchy-line the listener would be singing by the end of the song.

I wrote this when I was standing knee-deep in a life sized, cardboard cut-out of a melancholy mood. What I had in mind, was an after-hours, smoky bar - empty except for the piano player and the guy drinking, trying to forget his lost love...

A bluesy love-lost song with 'rain' obviously a metaphor for tears. I thought, by the time I finished writing it, that I could probably have fitted it on an old Elvis soundtrack.

Washington Irving's classic tale of 'The Headless Horseman' has always been one of my favourite stories. I had an inner urge to retell the tale set to music.
