45 seconds before any lyrics or hook will kill an A and R guy he'll never get to the heart of the song... I had time and listened to "Oblivian" very predictable rock but, the moving bass line saves the song...drums are sporadic like punk but the song is more sing song than that. Otherwise guyz keep on tryin and make those simple changes.....your on your way....nice break down in the middle....got board around 2:35 into the song....song went for about 4 mins..too long with out substantial change... Not slamming you guyz just offering a bit of advise from an old dog on the park

Thanks for the post but please don't judge our themes until you have listened to our whole cd. Never do I speak of suicide as means of reasonable escape. I write when I'm upset and other people can relate to that. I find that when I'm upset, listening to music that I can relate my feelings to helps me get through a lot. Yes, some of our songs are angsty, some are about relationships and some are based around social and political issues (particularly our new unreleased material) hence the title of our cd. Also, all of these songs were written over 2 years ago when we were still in high school. The way we look at things now is a bit different.

Guess I expected more than angst ridden depression out of a CD titled Freedom of Expression from a band named Article 19. Some excellent phrase twists in your lyrics - just depressing themes with negative attitude. Suicide and death don't resolve heartbreak, they add to it.
Some good arrangements - even though its punk, tighten up the timing to make it a winner.
