Ars Phoenix began as the experimental electronic solo project of former Kilborough keyboardist/bassist Jonathan Glover in late 2001 but quickly developed into a style of moody synth-driven indie rock. The first full length, “Teen Movie Soundtrack”, introduced the Ars Phoenix ethos of welding affecting atmosphere and subtle tension to abrasion laced pop sensibility in the final months of 2002. The resulting product of melancholy indie/electro ranges from the somber and melodic to the chaotic and quirky and has critics saying that Ars Phoenix conveys the “emotional gravity of Simon and Garfunkle” (Punk Planet #57) and the forlorn purity of the One AM Radio (HeartattaCk # 38).Your musical influences
