I've been working with hip hop as my medium for a long time, be it through words or rhythms. I'd say the intial entry into the genre was well before I was aware of it's gathering; I was nine and writing rhythmic poetry about everything and anything both at home and in school. One day I heard something on the radio, and wrote poetry to it (I think it was Billy Joel's "Field of Dreams") and my Kerouakesque spoken word emerged from that. More of a brick by brick sort of deal.Have you performed in front of an audience?To be determined at a later date. Thus far, nothing other than a competition in late 2003.
