Armageddon (Rev 16:16) it is the longest living Cypriot group and they are characterized by continuous live presence from 1985 with the name Heavy Duty, in the beginning with covers and then with their own compositions that gained the love of world and that even today they ask in their appearances their old songs. Finally 1985 they change the name to Armageddon and open the concert of Spitfire of legendary Greek group in Nicosia.
After a lot of rehearsals material was gathered and they recorded their first demo (1987) with the songs: Raiders of steel, return of the king, Armageddon (instrumental) and striking back, and in less than one year afterwards, their second with eight songs, four older songs, that after played live they were orchestrated differently and more maturely henceforth recorded again: Raiders of steel, return of the king, rocking the universe, judgments day, to the unknown (speed version), E.K. Seventeen, striking back, Armageddon (instrumental) .
Their first attempt in discography was an EP in vinyl in 1991 with the company All Records. The disk was loved by the rock and metal music enthusiasts and it established Armageddon as one of the best groups of this type in Cyprus and not only.
After a simple search with the keywords Armageddon Rev in www.google.com you get a lot of pages that you can find the first EP in cd (reissued in CD in 2003 by the magazine True metal) for purchase, actually only from companies of abroad since in Greece was given free of charge with the magazine
The vinyl is considered infrequent and a collectors item according to www.metal-treasures.at
In 1997 the band records a new song "Times of frustration" for the collection "Blood brothers, A compilation of recordings by rock bands in Cyprus" by Laughing stock disks
In 1998 "Spoils of conflict" a mini album CD is released by City Records.
It moves in a more progressive style and is more mature and balanced, with 6 new pieces among them a new version of "To the unknown" that was changed into an epic ballad and "Times of frustration" from the collection Blood brothers with a new orchestration.

The song "Last mile" becomes a Video clip and is played by all Cyprus TV channels but also by Mad TV in Greece and the program �Jammin� of Greek National TV.
Magazines as "Metal Hammer", "Rock Power", "Metal Invader", "True metal", write articles and make positive comments for the band.
In all these the years always active apart from small periods of inactivity because of the known problems that all bands go through (changes of members, problems in finding substitutes, army e.t.c.) the band plays live
almost everywhere in Cyprus , pubs, clubs, festivals, town halls and other events, television programs, and in concerts that they organise by themselves .
They have played in concerts apart from Spitfire, with Rotting Christ, Nightingale, Antimatter, but also with Greek rock groups as Magic de Spell .
Also they participated in the festival "Hysteria 99" in Bourgas, Bulgaria (http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/5662/Hysteria99/) and during the bombardments of NATO in Serbia they participated in the big anti-war concert that took place in the centre of Belgrade.
In the summer of 2005 Armageddon appeared in the Exit Fest 05 on the Metal Hammer stage along with Bands like Slayer,Napalm Death, and many others.

Οι Armageddon (Rev 16:16) είναι το μακροβιότερο Κυπριακό συγκρότημα και χαρακτηρίζονται από συνεχή συναυλιακή παρουσία από το 1985 με το όνομα Heavy Duty,στην αρχή με διασκευές και στην συνέχεια με δικές τους συνθέσεις που κέρδισαν την αγάπη του κόσμου και που ακόμα και σήμερα ζητάνε στις εμφανίσεις τους τα παλιά τραγούδια.

Η πρώτη τους επαφή με την δισκογραφία ήταν ένα ΕΡ σε βινύλιο το 1991 με την εταιρεία All Records. Ο δίσκος αγαπήθηκε από το κοινό της ροκ και μεταλ μουσικής και καθιέρωσε τους Armageddon ως ένα από τα καλύτερα συγκροτήματα του είδους του στην Κύπρο και όχι μόνο αφού μια απλή αναζήτηση με τις λέξεις Armageddon Rev στο www.google.com θα σας δώσει πολλές σελίδες που μπορείτε να βρείτε το πρώτο EP σε cd (Επανεκδόθηκε σε CD πριν ένα χρόνο από το περιοδικό True metal) για αγορά, μάλιστα μόνο από εταιρείες του εξωτερικού αφού στην Ελλάδα δινόταν δωρεάν με το περιοδικό .Το βινυλιο θεωρείται σπάνιο και συλλεκτικό σύμφωνα με το www.metal-treasures.at .

Ερχόμαστε στο 1998 και στην κυκλοφορία του "Spoils of conflict" από την City Records ένα μίνι CD album που κινείται σε πιο progressive δρόμους πιο ώριμοι από ποτέ με 6 νέα κομμάτια ανάμεσα τους το "To the unknown" που μετατράπηκε σε μια επική μπαλάντα και το "Times of frustration" από την συλλογή Blood brothers σε επανεκτέλεση. Περιλαμβάνει τα :Oblivion ,Last mile ,Times of frustration ,Passage to Hades Beyond ,To the unknown.
Το "Last mile" γυρίζεται Video clip και παίζεται από όλα τα κυπριακά κανάλια αλλά και από το Mad TV στην Ελλάδα και το παλιότερο Jammin της ΕΡΤ.
Περιοδικά του Metal χώρου όπως το Metal Hammer,τo Rock Power, τo Metal Invader, και το True metal κάνουν αναφορές και δίνουν θετικές κριτικές στο συγκρότημα.
