Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Aphrodisiac Entertainment is a newly incorporated record label that was founded in the year of 2004. Co/CEO's Patrick Taylor and Jason Johnson first came up with the idea of owning a record label several years ago. Once incorporated, Joshua James was added to the Aphrodisiac team as Vice-President. With one album already released, Aphrodisiac is planning on releasing their main artist's (P.T.) second album in mid June of 2006. When thinking about the meaning of what Aphrodisiac portrays, the imagination and creativity is unlimited to the amount of success that can actually take place. Aphrodisiac Entertainment's owners Patrick, Jason and Joshua quoted: "At this point, there's nothing that can stop us from doing what we want to do. The determination and love that we have for life will make us successful...no matter what." Patrick Taylor (P.T.) is the Co/CEO and main artist of Aphrodisiac. His powerful voice and lyrical ability is what separates him from any other regular hip-hop artist. P.T. was raised in Grant County Kentucky and was first influenced to start writing music when the birth of his dauguther (Aliyah) came into his life. Joshua James is the Vice-President and featured artist of Aphrodisiac. Joshua not only works in the music industry, but also works in the movie industry. Only being 19 years old, he travels back and forth from L.A. persuing an acting career. Joshua works on an acting contract and just filmed his first lead role in a feature film coming out in 2006. Jason Johnson is the other Co/CEO of Aphrodisiac. Not only does Jason take part in the music industry, he also owns and runs a very successful business on the side. Jason's aspect of business and knowledge of how everything works in the industry makes everything a lot easier on the others involved with Aphrodisiac. The remarkable thing about this entertainment company is the accomplishments that have already been made. WEBN chose one of the songs that P.T. and Joshua James recorded (Nobody Does It Better) and put the song on the "Budweiser True Music CD". 15 of the top bands around the Cincinnati area were chosen to appear on this CD. Budweiser is now marketing the songs in a regional/national contest. Aphrodisiac just filmed two music videos which are P.T. feat Joshua James- Take you home and P.T.-Hey Baby, which will make their debut on television in September, 2005. Other members of the Aphrodisiac team include Howard Hertz. Howard Hertz is best known as Eminem's lawyer. Mr. Hertz was just hired onto Aphrodisiac and plans to help market the entertainment business. Missy Lay Zimmer and Andrew Hubbard are two well established choreographers in the dance industry that put together dance routines for Aphrodisiac venues. Both Missy and Andrew manage a dance team of six girls called "The Aphrodisiac's" and plan to use them in upcoming shows and events. As progression is being made, Aphrodisiac Entertainment plans on doing many different things that benefit all types of people. Watch as this business grows and enjoy the things that the company has to offer.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We plan on throwing some of our own venues very soon. We have choreographers working on some routines for us as well.
