Preparing for Battle was actually very good ( this coming from someone that tries to be critical) It had a mature, large feel. The orchestrations were well executed and the melodies themselves were a pleasure to listen to. I would only suggest you tone down on the reverb a little bit, especially on teh horns.

Very beautiful music! I am learning to compose as well, with an aim towards filmscoring. Any advice you can give would be great! Am also wondering what software you use for it.
