Anthony da Costa is a 14-year-old singer/songwriter from the little town of Pleasantville, NY..he tours coffeehouses, restaurants, fairs, and festivals all over New York, and has performed at such venues as Coffee Labs in Tarrytown, the Peekskill Coffeehouse, the Black Cow, Postcrypt Cafe on the Colombia University Campus, the C-Note on Avenue C in NYC, the DTUT Cafe, the Dragonfly Cafe in Pleasantville, and more..he played at the first annual Pleasantville Music Festival on July 16th, 2005..he was the Towne Crier Open Mic Final 2005 Runner-up...he is working on an ep at the moment, that he will release himself..more to come, so stay tuned...
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Anthony da Costa is a 14-year-old singer/songwriter out of Pleasantville, NY. He has been composing and performing his own songs for a few years now, and has been playing guitar, bass, piano, mandolin, trombone, drums, and many more instruments for several years. His music is mainly folk, with both blues and country influences, to bring an eclectic sound to the stage. He has recorded a few demos and is getting ready to record his first independent record. Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
sure, i play at all of the places that I mentioned in my bio, and more, mostly coffee houses and festivals, with some restaurant gigs, and some town fairs..I play at the school shows, which is always great for me, to play for the people that I see every day..

What equipment do you use?
at the moment, for solo coffeehouse gigs, and shows like that, i use a peavey escort sound system, a real on-the-go pa system, 150 watts with 2 speakers, dynamic mics, direct 1/4 cables for my acoustic electric guitar, my hollow bodied electric guitar, and my mandolin..not much to say, basic boom mic stands..i play a washburn acoustic electric, a sheridan hollow bodied guitar, made by epiphone..rogue mandolin, bass, things like that...
