With all the degenerative energy of those falling through the cracks, this rapper is positioned to rip the social fabric- the writing's on the wall! Anish1 is working in the studio on Str8dogsoldierz- for 2008. While now concentrating on recording, Anish1 will only be doing live shows this spring. Although tracks can be downloaded at numerous sites on the internet, albums and singles can be downloaded at ITunes, Napster, Rhapsody, Soundclick, and eMusic- after January 14, 2008. Futhermore, you can catch videos posted on YouTube, Megavideo, Myspace, Stage6, Veoh, Guba, Facebook, Daily Motion, and Sound Click- look for the new video "When Justise is Slow...Terrible Things Happen" in April.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Started breakdancing in a group called Wildstyle- in 1985. Picked up the mic in 1988- been going every since.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We use laptops, software, samplers, and turntables; however, we sometimes play live instruments-back in the day at the Exchange (local bar). As a moment worth remembering, Thunder and Lightning joined Anishnabe for a freestyle- during an Oka Warriors benefit.
