Rock General

Often compared to many bands, yet having their own difinitive sound, Angst and Agony prides themselves on not compromising anything when it comes to their music. This stubborness has been born from 4 distinctively different, influenced people. Rain's melodically unorthodox guitar style and Drew's mixture of older metal bass technique with new alternative melodies are complimented amazingly by Vince's jazz drumming patterns and stylings. When you add the alternative metal vocals of Steve Minix you get a rather unique band, onstage and off. The band has been privileged enough to the share the stage with the likes of A.D.D. Crash Poet(their music will never die, thanks for 4 years of amazement), Crazed, Panic 12:52, Colonel Stem, Aedes, Tripwire, Procreation, Morendichia, ASA, Burn Again, Tarnish, Milkplow, Fehil, Sometimes Seven, Paragon X, Viscosity (you guys rock, seriously), and Empty Set. Angst and Agony will release a 6 song EP CD called "Eclipse" on June 22nd that has been much anticipated and will hopefully make its circulation into the hands of many new fans.

Have you performed in front of an audience?
We play live. We have to. It fuels us. We play live anywhere and everywhere we can. Our most special moment so far will have to be our EP Release show on June 22nd.
Your musical influences
I, RAiN, am personally most influenced by Alice in Chains. Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell were able to show me at a young age that not all negative things were simply negative - if you can express those feelings and write about them often times it becomes therapeutic and thats always positive.
What equipment do you use?
Here is a run-down of our equipment list - Ibanez Basses, Spectre Basses, Line 6, Peavey Triple X Guitar Amps, Crate 4x12's, Peavey 4x12's, Ampeg Bass Cabs, JBL Speaker Cabs, Mackie Mixers, Yamaha Drums, Zildjian and Paiste Cymbals, Digitech Guitar Effects, Morley Wah Pedals, Furman Power Conditioners, Nady and Shure Instrument Wireless Systems, Shure Mics, Samson Mics, and Audio Technica Mics, TC Helicon M500 Vocal Processors, Ibanez Guitars, Gibson Guitars, Jackson Guitars, Zildjian Drumsticks, SKB Cases, D'Addario Strings.
